Google had announced that is planning to bring a PayPal like payment API for desktop as well as mobiles. The Android pay was limited to Android phones but Google’s payment API will allow any app and website to use the payment credentials stored in your Google account. But that’s not it, users can also use Google Assistant to transfer money to someone. The API will be used to send a person the amount you mention.

The IFTTT support added more functionality for voice commands on Google Pixel and Google Home which was added back by Google in October. Now, Google has included IFTTT integration in Pixel devices that lets you “Teach you assistant” to “Do something” or “Say something”. The feature also lets you give an input “Ok Google” as well as the reply you wish Assistant gives you for that specific query.

The new addition to the Google Assistant is the App Directory that will be found when you open the Assistant UI. On the top left corner of the screen you can see a new blue icon which will get you apps in categories which are Assistant enabled. The App Directory is a great feature where you can find out which apps have Assistant integration and what things you can do with it.

Google also mentioned that the Google Assistant will soon get a typing input, where you can type your queries and ask anything to Google Assistant if you not in the situation of speaking out. But that’s not it, the text history in the Google Assistant is fully editable. Which means you can scroll up and see your previous queries anytime and you can edit or delete your queries by long pressing on a particular question.

That’s not everything, the Google Assistant also gets smarter through Google Home, which gets a number of new features including calendar appointments, creating remainders, making hands-free calls with Google Home also adding visual responses from your assistant of your TV with chromecast.
